Wine Tasting Wear

Dress: Socialite | Hat: BP in Mauve | Scarf: BP | Booties: TOMS | Lip Pencil: MAC in Soar | Lipstick: MAC in Pink Plaid

Over the weekend, we explored the northern Fresno/Madera wine country. Our first stop was the Toca Madera Winery, which was the gorgeous backdrop for most of these photos. The view from the tasting room was incredible. I am typically a red wine drinker, but if you like whites or roses this is a great place to check out. We also stopped at the Solitary Cellars tasting room. We were both so pleasantly surprised by the quality of their wines. The owners have an awesome story and they seem to really know what they're talking about. The majority of their wines are red and I truly wish I would have taken home a bottle of each. We live about 45 minutes south of Temecula wine country so we are pretty well versed in wineries and wine tasting. Temecula wineries are big and impressive, which is fun, but it was really nice to see the humble beginnings of these smaller wineries for a change.

Is it weird to say a hat is flattering? Well, this one is and wine tasting seemed like the perfect occasion for it. It was a wonderful little addition to this easy-to-wear swing dress and scarf. My scarf is a very light woven material which is great for this transitional weather. I paired this outfit with my favorite booties to give it that extra fall kick. The booties were great for being on my feet most of the day and touring the wineries. They are so comfortable and stable that I like to refer to them as walkin' shoes.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!!
