Casual Chic

Poncho: Dreamers By Debut | Jeans: Blank NYC | Tank: Merona | Shoes: Converse | Clutch: Charming Charlie (similar style) | Lip Pencil: MAC (in Soar) | Lipstick: MAC (in Twig)

When Tony and I were dating, although we both lived in the same county, we lived on opposite ends. We were an hour's drive apart with no traffic and if you've been to San Diego then you know that there is always traffic. So, when I thought about being married and what would be the best part, I always jumped right to sleeping under the same roof every night. It has taken me almost two years of being married to realize that my favorite part is just doing life together, whether it's running errands or cooking dinner. I was always pretty independent and I am a bit of a loner, so in my bachelorette days I was content doing those things on my own. I would run errands on my way home from work and cook dinner for myself if my mom wasn't home, and I was completely happy with it. Even in our first year of marriage, we didn't really do those things together because Tony was so busy with getting the restaurant up and running. I always made sure that I had everything out of the way before he got home so we could just relax together.

Lately, our life has been so much more fluid together and we have time to do the mundane together and the mundane is AMAZING! You know you are in the right place with the right person when the mundane becomes a memory. Only recently have I noticed how much just doing life together is my favorite part of being married. We are always told to marry our best friend and I thought I had but I had no idea how great my friendship would become with the man that I am blessed to call my husband.

Like I said in my last post... These Jeans!! They are amazing! I love this outfit for a lunch date when you have a bunch of other things to do that same afternoon. This poncho is so comfortable and perfect for running errands, but it dresses the converse up just enough to not be completely casual. It's perfectly balanced if you ask me and pairing it with a clutch gives it even more of that snazzy edge. I just have a white tank on under the poncho to match my white shoes but you could go with just about any color. Again, I had these jeans hemmed after these pictures were taken and they are even better looking. I know, I didn't think that was possible either.
