New Year's Recap and Casual Monday

I'm sure no one is quite ready to be back to work today but how was your New Year's?!? Our's was wonderful, like our best yet. We had some of Tony's family over along with my mom and Brucy and it was so nice!! We served a traditional dinner of roasted tri-tip with mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables. I made an amazing sangria, which I will need to post the recipe for soon. We celebrated the New York new year and everyone was on their way home by about 10 PM. Tony and I stayed up and watched the west coast ball drop at midnight our time and toasted with some champagne and then snuggled up in bed. It was right around the time that I was pouring champagne for our mock midnight toast that I realized how fulfilled my 2015 was and that nothing was missing from the amazing time we were having. It was just perfect. Honest to God I could not have asked for anything more. I hope your celebration left your heart just as full as mine did and I pray that 2016 is all of our most blessed year yet!!

So this comfy lace topped shirt is so casual and perfect for a lazy weekend where you still plan on encountering a few people that you need to look a little less than homeless for. Pairing it with some light washed boyfriend jeans takes the comfort level up like three notches and you really can't go wrong with chucks. All in all this outfit will help turn errands into a dream.

I hope you have an awesome first week of the year!
