McDonald's

Dress: Lush | Jacket: Sun & Shadow | Heels: Hinge | Lip Pencil: MAC in Spice | Lipstick: MAC in Kinda Sexy

So, every Valentine's Day Tony plans a dinner date for us. Ever since our very first Valentine's he has told me that we are going to McDonald's for dinner, completely joking of course. In fact, on our first Valentine's Day we got all dressed up and he pulled into Mickey D's and got me a sweet tea (I love sweet tea). We then went on with an amazing night. He's hilarious, I know. Anyways, this year we were planning on going to "McDonald's" again, but we had such a fun day sailing that we decided to stay in, order pizza and rent a movie. He still wanted to take me out for dinner another night, so we went last night. This year "McDonald's" was Searsucker in downtown San Diego. I had never been and we had talked about going a few times. It was phenomenal! My favorite thing to do when trying a new restaurant is to share several appetizers in lieu of an entree and order their signature drink. We ended up having the braised beef, squid, brussel sprout, mushroom and shishito pepper shared dishes. They were all perfect! Seriously, not one complaint! As far as drinks go, try their "Snake in the Grass". It's a refreshing and delicious gin and mint concoction. We brought dessert home from Extraordinary Desserts (my favorite) and brought it home to snuggle up on the couch. To say the least, it was a wonderful night at "McDonald's".

I'm telling you, this jacket is perfect. It can go over just about everything and I absolutely love it over this black and white printed trapeze dress. Understated prints are such an awesome find because they are great for everyday wear. Don't get me wrong, I love all prints but a bright busy print is very recognizable and a little too "in your face" to wear any ol' day of the week. I still can't get over these lace-up block heels and they come in four colors. They are so very comfortable and can be dressed up or down.

I hope your day is as beautiful as you are!
