Spring Events

Dress: Wayf | Heels: Steve Madden | Clutch (similar style): Halogen | Lip Pencil: MAC in Edge to Edge | Lipstick: MAC in Pink Plaid

Today marks 13 weeks until fair season officially starts again, which means that Tony will start setting up in about 10 weeks. Is it crazy that I feel this huge time crunch to have a ton of time and fun with Tony before then? Well, I do. Thirteen weeks seems like a long time but it feels like we got off the road yesterday and that was over 19 weeks ago (a little about being done with our season last can be found HERE and HERE). I love fair season, but sometimes I have a really tough time not feeling like the season is looming on us. I thrive on structure and schedule and our entire  life literally does a 180 when the season starts. Getting used to the changes takes me a second, but by the time it has become our new norm we are pretty close to being done. I knew what I was signing up for when I married Tony, but I don't think it will ever be completely normal to me - not the fair or the work end, but the flip your world upside down every six months or so end. Like anything else in life, focusing on the positive and downright fun aspects of this portion of our lives more than gets me through. Beyond that, watching my sweet husband thrive by being successful doing what he truly loves makes it all beyond worth it.

Palm Sunday is a little over two weeks away and Easter is a little over three weeks away and this dress would be a great option for either of them. It is plenty long enough for a church setting and comfortable enough for an entire day (you may need to lose the shoes for an egg hunt). The colors could not be any more spring like and the background blue is super close to "Serenity", one of the Pantone Colors of the Year. Also, it is under $70 and I have a feeling that the 70's clothing is here to stay for a while so you'll definitely get several uses out of it. I paired it here with nude accessories just because it is so darn colorful by itself. My staple nude ankle straps get so much use. They are the easiest to throw on with just about anything colorful or black.

I hope your day is as beautiful as you are!
