So I'm Obsessed

This is not a sponsored post... I am just obsessed with Lush products. You may be obsessed as well or you may avoid this store altogether depending on how sensitive your smeller is. I avoided Lush for a long time, but mainly because I figured it would be trouble. If you ask Tony, it is definitely trouble. As far as I am concerned, the only trouble I get into there nowadays are bath bombs and face masks. I only take so many baths so buying a few new ones every time I am in there is soooo unnecessary. Their face masks are amazing but they are made fresh (again amazing) so they expire and I end up never using it all. I guess that spells trouble as well. I have learned that they are perfect for ladies night. You can split their masks about four ways so bring on the wine and romcoms.

Anyways, I wanted to tell you about the amazing night cleansing regimen that I have been indulging in for the past few months and that I will definitely be sticking with. Before I dive in, I have oily skin and I battle hormonal acne. Lush products have helped me keep both of these issues at bay with an all natural gentle approach rather than with harsh chemicals. I have long term skin care goals, so although my skin may not be perfect, keeping my issues manageable without damaging my skin and guaranteeing future wrinkles among other problems is absolutely the perfect balance.

Cleanser: Ultrabland

For some reason, people think that oil is bad for oily skin. Not true. The RIGHT oils are great for oily skin, especially when it comes to a cleanser. If you are always stripping your skin's natural oils, your skin produces a larger amount of oils in order to compensate, making your skin more oily. This cleanser is creamy and goes on thick and velvety, so it does not strip your skin of it's natural oils. I leave it on for a few minutes and then I take it off with a microfiber washcloth soaked in hot water. It cleanses away all of the impurities and makeup of the day and my skin feels so silky after. I have totally fallen in love with it and it is a favorite of one of Lush's owners. I will tell you that there will be a period of time where your skin will purge all of the gross stuff it has been hanging on to thanks to the goodness this cleanser holds, so stick with it. I promise it will be worth it. I use a microfiber washcloth because they are much gentler than traditional washcloths and don't irritate my skin by exfoliating every single cleaning.

 Toner: Tea Tree Water

I follow my cleansing by dampening a cotton round with about five sprays of Tea Tree Water toner. It is light and refreshing and helps to naturally suppress my oils without being drying and forcing my skin to produce more oil.

Moisturizer:  Cosmetic Lad

This moisturizer is actually marketed to men for post-shave soreness and irritation, but I absolutely love it for the same reasons they would. It is moisture rich, calming for any irritated skin and refreshing for that good feeling clean after a long day.

I have not lived without these products for a while now and I don't intend to anytime soon. I will fill you in on the other Lush products I use soon. I can't get enough of them and I suggest you stop in and visit next time you're at the mall.

I hope your day is as beautiful as you are!
