Aging

Dress: Xhilaration | Wedges: Charles by Charles David | Clutch (similar style): Rebecca Minkoff | Lip Color: Bare Minerals in Juju | Earrings (similar style): Kate Spade |Bracelet: Blushes and Gold | Bracelet (similar style): Nadri | Middle Finger Ring (dup): Nadri

Clearly, I cannot get enough of the bold floral prints that are everywhere right now. Cold shoulder anything is so perfect for transitioning into fall since you can still wear long sleeves but have a flirty bare shoulder. I wore this outfit to date night at a little mom and pop restaurant up the way the other night. I dressed it down a little for the occasion by pairing it with some espadrille inspired wedges, but this $25 dress can definitely be dressed up for a fancier night out with a sassy pair of heels. These particular wedges are on sale at the moment so grab them and put them away for the spring. I also went with a nude clutch and gold accessories to keep the warm tones going.

It's Tony's birthday tomorrow. I don't know about you, but I love to make a huge deal about birthdays. They are the one day a year that is solely yours and you should be celebrated. Unfortunately, Tony's birthday is during the LA Fair every year which makes it a little difficult to celebrate, but we definitely make the most of it (more on that later). I asked him the other day how he feels about being turning one year older. He gave me a re-cap of everything good in his life and he did not have one negative word to say about his birthday approaching. He is a true example of how aging should be looked at. He has accomplished so much and is beyond happy, so why should another candle on the cake be a negative? How you feel about aging speaks volumes about how you feel about your life. I mean, of course, I know physically aging can be rough at times, but beyond that, your age is what you make it. I hope everyone has the happiest of birthday's and that you add that candle proudly.

I hope your day is as beautiful as you are!
