Basic but Perfect

Top: BP | Ball Cap: August Hat | Jeans: Joe's | Sneakers: Converse | Earrings: Nadri | Lip Pencil: MAC in Edge to Edge | Lipstick: MAC in Pink Plaid

You guys, this was totally my uniform all week long as I wrapped up what was left over from baptism prep and prepared to host Thanksgiving. This hat came in handy when my hair was about 98% dry shampoo and the day after I had it curled, a fluffed ponytail out the back hole looked great. This top is so comfortable that I just about fell asleep in it the other night. The length in the back and front make it great for transitioning out of jeans and into yoga pants (lol). I have it on order in two other colors as we speak. I finally got these jeans hemmed and they are perfect. I absolutely love how sturdy Joe's jeans are. My converse were definitely my best friend's this week. These one's have the Nike insole and they kept me going between baking, cleaning and running. I am totally aware that this outfit is not on the cutting edge of style or anything and super simple, but all of these pieces are so great and comfortable that I had to share.

We hosted Thanksgiving this year and it was such a great time! There were about 20 of us and I think Tony and I pretty much rocked it. Thanks to home prices in San Diego, we have an oh-so-perfect-for-us 1,500 square foot starter home that we love, but isn't exactly cut out for a 20 person seated dinner. Well, we removed our dining table and replaced it with two 6-foot tables and thanks to the 80-degree weather, we were able to use the other six seats we have outside. It worked out great. We have so much to be thankful for, and seating our 20-person immediate family is only the beginning of it. God has been so good to our family and we look forward to the challenges and blessings He has in store for us this year.

I hope your day is as beautiful as you are!
